The United States is indeed the proverbial “melting pot” it’s said to be, housing a varied population that represents almost every country in the world. A plethora of cultures, traditions and ideas fill this country, which is the third largest in the world, producing a flavorful mix that continues to elicit intrigue from outsides.
Its population of 300 million people are spread across the country, from the Atlantic to the Pacific. The astounding size of the U.S, encompassing many divergent regions and climates, accounts for its incredibly dynamic terrain.
The dramatic California coast extends north to south; its warm Pacific waters rubbing up against pristine beaches - a hotspot for surfers and sunbathers alike.
The wide open spaces and undulating cornfields of the Midwest, stand it stark contrast to the towering skyscrapers of America’s notable cities, including, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
From the soaring Rocky Mountains and rugged Grand Canyon, to the sandy dunes of the salty New England, there is no such thing as typical terrain in the USA.
And these totally unique places host equally unique peoples, with corresponding cultures to boot. A trip across America can leave visitors’ minds a bit muddled, since impressions will abound as they are sure to encounter the unexpected and obscure.
